Mexico, beware of sea snakes in Mazatlan

The aquarium of Mazatlan has issued a warning to swimmers regarding the toxic sea snake. The aquarium reported to El Sol de Mazatlan that the the snakes are much more prevalent due to constant changes in water temperature in the region.

The snakes are not aggressive by nature, however, if touched or harrassed may bite. The appearance of the snake is with a gray stomach, black back, yellow stripe on it’s sides, with a a flat tail that is black and yellow. The aquarium is concerned with unknowing swimmers as the population of Mazatlan wil increase with visitors between march 3-8, for celebration of Carnival.
