Mexican journalist, Regina Martinez found murdered in her apartment in Veracruz

The governor of the eastern Mexican state of Veracruz, Javier Duarte, ordered the integration of a panel of researchers to solve the murder of journalist Regina Martinez, correspondent for the weekly Proceso. The body was found with signs of beating and strangling. Veracruz is one of the states affected by drug violence, an issue that Martinez used to cover as a correspondent in Xalapa. Dozens of reporters on Sunday marched around the Palace of Government of the Mexican state of Veracruz to demand justice for the murder of a journalist committed on Saturday. Read Article
