Maule, Chile: Father and Daughter Charged With Human Trafficking Remain in Prison

On June 2, 2013 Terra Noticias reported that Paola Espinoza Provoste and her father, Manuel Espinoza Sáez, both accused of trafficking in persons and smuggling of migrants from Bolivia, remain in prison after a court in Molina dismissed the arguments presented by the defense seeking to reduce the sentence.

There is also a third person in custody for the same criminal charges, identified as Irma Barría Sáez. According to the prosecution, she was the right arm of Paola Espinoza and in charge of trafficking individuals from the city of Cochabamba, Bolivia. Read Article
