Little Known Drug Route: Buenos Aires to Qatar

In the first fifteen days of September six foreigners have been detained for trying to transport cocaine from Buenos Aires to Qatar via mules. Those arrested are from Europe, South Africa, and Nigeria. according to lanacion.com.ar. Sources affirmed, they allegedly ingested cocaine capsules (liquid cocaine dissolved with solvents similar to nail polish remover) wrapped in thin latex which tears easily. One of the “mules,” of African descent, who had swallowed the capsules began having seizures at the airport and was admitted to a hospital. Transporters of illegal substances are not informed of the dramatic consequences of ingesting such contents, a doctor from the “Hospital Zonal de Agudos Madre Teresa de Calcuta,” explained.
