According to Sp.Rian.ru three people robbed a group of female journalists arriving in Lima to work on the project RIA Novosti Expedition, as they were traveling to their hotel. The journalists say at an intersection a man walked toward their car and broke the window, pulling a passenger and the passenger’s belongings toward him. Then, journalists say, an accomplice of the first attacker broke the windows on the opposite side of the car and tried to take the camera of a journalist. After, the driver of the journalists’ car stepped out and fired warning shots in the air. The victims say this scared away their attackers and the police arrived. Police say looters usually have informants who tell them about passengers arriving from Europe, especially if they are women. RIA Novosti is the Russian International News Agency.Read Article
