Lima, Peru Airport: 4 Europeans Arrested and 3 Peruvians With Drugs

According to ElComercio.pe four Europeans tried to smuggle hydrochloric cocaine concealed in their luggage out of Peru. The Europeans and three Peruvians were apparently traveling to Madrid at the time of their arrest. Police confiscated 2 to 7 kilos of hydrochloric cocaine. The arrest of the three Peruvians occurred as they were trying to transport drugs to other countries, two in South America – Santiago, Chile and Buenos Aires as well as Madagascar. Recently, Peru has become the largest producer of coca leaf in the world and is believed to become the leading producer of hydrochloric cocaine.Read Article
