Jalisco Mexico: Sanitary barrier established for egg farms due to avian flu outbreak

Mexico: Due to the avian flu cases, 110 farms have been barred in west Mexico.

After the avian flu outbreak authorities have installed a sanitary barrier covering about 110 egg farms in Mexico. The Minister of Economy has analyzed the probability of egg importation because the 28% price increases. Jalisco produced about 50 percent of the national egg consumption which has been immobilized ever since the avian outbreak. Read Article
