Inter-American Development Bank Willing to Finance Colombian Dry Canal

•According to Portafolio.co, the Inter-American Development Bank is willing to finance the $7.6 Billion USD project of the dry canal in Colombia.
•However, neither Colombia nor China has sent a representative to the bank to ask for finance according to its president Luis Alberto Moreno.
•The project is to be financed by the Chamber of Commerce of Colombian Chinese Integration and will be headed by the Railway Group of China.
•Although called the dry canal, the project is a railroad that will extend 220 km from the Pacific Ocean to Cartagena.
•It is meant to compete with the Panama Canal and will be used to transport goods between Colombia and China. Read Article
