Indigenous People In Danger of Extinction, Colombia

The UN has launched a campaign today to celebrate the International Day of Indigenous Peoples which will attempt to save 35 indigenous communities that are at risk of extinction. Semana.com reports that these indigenous Colombian suffer from homicides, persecutions and other crimes at the hands of armed groups.

The indigenous groups at risk of extinction are the:
