India: Passengers screened with destinations to Latin America, concern headed to U.S. illegally

dailymail.co.uk reported the immigration bureau at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) is planning to conduct ‘surprise’ profile checks on passengers bound for Latin American countries in a bid to curb illegal immigration.

The move has come after reports that middle-eastern airlines have denied boarding to a number of Indian passengers based on their profiles. According to the reports, airlines were not boarding passengers who have ‘less money’ than the amount needed to stay. Read Article
