Iberia, Air Berlin, KLM contribute significantly to growth of tourism, Central America

he Tourism Promotion Agency Central (CATA) has highlighted the role played by the airlines Iberia, Air Berlin and KLM for its strategy of expansion and growth in the region this year. The agency has stressed that Central America has become “one of the biggest bets for these airlines” in 2011, “despite the crisis affecting the entire industry.” “The region is gaining an increasing interest in the tourism sector as well as the flow of tourists, thanks to the wide variety of exotic products becomes a very attractive destination for today’s traveler,” said the institution.
