Honduras, organized crime groups threatens attack of prison

Armed groups belonging to organized crime and drug trafficking, have threatened to attack the facilities of the National Penitentiary Marco Aurelio Soto (PNMAS) to try to free his cronies who are imprisoned in the jail, said yesterday the center’s director, Marvin Rajo. The police and military who protect modules are very high security alerts about threats of attack.

To prevent a possible attack, the authorities took the decision to step up security, especially in the maximum security module, where 11 inmates were transferred and highly dangerous. Read Article
