There are high concentrations of uranium in Chihuahua
A study by the Center for Advanced Materials Research (CIMAV) over a decade revealed that in the Chihuahua-Sacramento valley formed areas of high concentration of uranium contaminated the local water because in this territory have been reported numerous deposits of uranium ores, such as the Sierra de Peña Blanca, located 50 kilometers from the capital and exploited in the early 80′s.
