Guayaquil, Ecuador: Two Dutch Tourists Victims of Express Kidnapping and Sexual Assault

According to ElUniverso.com two females from the Netherlands were victims of an express kidnapping and rape on Friday July 8th. The Judicial Police of Guayas say that the two victims reported the incident to police with the help of Galo Leon, the director of the hotel where the tourists are staying. The women say that at 5 p.m. on Friday they caught a yellow taxi on the streets of 9 de Octubre and Pichincha in the center of Guayaquil. Officials say that the women thought they were taking a taxi to their hotel however the taxi traveled in the opposite direction. The assailants approached the taxi and covered the women’s faces as they brought them to a house were the victims say they were sexually assaulted and robbed. The victims say they were later left in an abandoned area in the south of Guayaquil.Read Article
