Ecuador: major operation takes down gang that faked police patrols to assault, rob residents

Eluniverso.com reported that the Intervention and Rescue Group (GIR), along with thirteen prosecutors, captured eight adults and three children isolated early yesterday morning, which would be part of the band Flaco Édgar Edgar during the operation called Bastion, made in the north. Agents in charge of the investigation indicated that since last December began tracking this band that apparently used to make fake cloned patrol operating in northern highways, stealing cars and cargo, assaulting people by means of kidnapping express.
