Guatemala: Man murders two children in school, assailant then lynched by mob

reported that “The children died beheaded, while the alleged was offender lynched died after being beaten by the mob and burned alive” in a public school in the town of Tactic, about 190 north of Guatemala, said Sergio Vasquez, spokesman for the Fire Volunteers.

According to witnesses, the assailant, identified as Julio Saquil, 40, entered the school and without a word attacked with a machete to the two children, who bled to death on the spot.

The children killed were identified as Bin Saquij Yanisa Evelyn, eight, and Juan Armando Coy Cal, thirteen, student’s first and third grades of primary education, respectively.

Vasquez said a third girl, who was also going to be attacked, managed to escape and alerted screaming teachers and residents who arrested the alleged offender and lynched him. Read Article
