According to BBCmundo.co.uk in the capital the first women-only buses of Tansurbano will be launched into circulation today, Wednesday June 15th. The buses can be identified by a picture of a pink ribbon or a sign that reads” exclusively for women.” Circulation of these buses will occur between 6 and 7 am and then again from 5:30 to 7 o’clock at night, rush hour times. The idea was created to protect women from abuse and violence that sometimes occurs at the hands of men in the public transportation system. Mothers will be allowed to use these buses with their children, including male children who are younger than 12 years.Read Article
