Guatemala, August festivities hope to increase tourism

Committees of self-management tourism (CAT), optimistically wait for a boost in tourism this fall to meet expectations of the Guatemalan Institute of tourism (Inguat), inform PrensaLibre.com. Inguat is expecting around 35 thousand Salvadorians for the Savior of the World festivities, which prompted the preparation of several promotions. CAT hopes that the sudden increase in tourism will help the area recover from past disasters such as the storm Agatha and violence caused by organized criminals. Read article.
