Guatemala Airflight Alert: Volcano activity impacting visibility for flights

The Coordinator for Disaster Reduction Guatemala-Conrad-and-Institute of Volcanology Insivumeh-called take precautions before the eruption of volcanoes Fuego and Pacaya Guatemalans, who last Saturday led to problems of visibility on flights operated around in the central south. In a statement addressed to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, DGCA, both entities maintain precautions recommended in the presence of ash around the area. While volcanic activity rated at a level “within normal”, suggested the greatest caution possible in air traffic to a possible increase in activity in the coming hours. Read Article
