Guaíra, Brazil: Federal Police Seizes 300 Kilograms of Contraband Paraguayan Pesticides

On April 3, 2013, Portal Guaíra reported that the Brazilian Federal Police arrested a man and seized two vehicles late last night in the city of Guaíra, close to the Brazil-Paraguay border. Inside the two vehicles police discovered approximately 300 kilograms of illegal pesticides. The pesticides were confirmed to be of Paraguayan origin. The detained man said that the product was headed for the city of Umuarama, about 115 kilometers from Guaíra.  Read Article
