Grupo Bimbo completes purchase of fresh bakery business of Sara Lee
Grupo Bimbo completed the purchase of fresh bakery business in the U.S. North American Fresh Bakery (NAFB) of Sara Lee. In a statement sent to the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores, the Mexican bakery said that because of this, its consolidated results for the fourth quarter of 2011 reflect the integration of operations of NAFB. For its production and sales volumes, Grupo Bimbo is one of the largest baking companies in the world, with 148 plants and more than one distribution centers located in 17 countries in America and Asia.
