Greates threat to Colombia: BACRIM according to UN

Armed groups have been created by exparamilitares expanded to much of the country and constitute the greatest threat to the State, as alerted the local office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.

“The groups that emerged after the demobilization of paramilitary organizations pose the greatest threat to the rule of law and protection of human rights in Colombia today,” said German Christian Salazar in a farewell news conference as a representative of the high commissioned in the country.

These groups, which are intensifying their criminal actions since 2010, “maintain a strong presence in much of the country and are the main source of violence against civilians,” he said Salazar. Read Article
