Gold accounts for 72 percent of exports from Cajamarca

The exports of gold from Cajamarca represented 71.9% of its total sales abroad, while in La Libertad the figure is 75.6%, and had to Switzerland as their main destination for 58.3% acquired the mineral in that region. Between January and September the traditional exports of these eight regions amounted to U.S. $ 8233.14 million, an increase of 17.1% over the same period last year, accounting for 84.2% of total sales in the area.
