Fragmented history of Leon Trotsky in Latin America

Leon Trotsky arrived in Mexico in 1937. The Trotskyist movement in Latin America has been characterized by diversity and fragmentation. We propose a review of these revolutionary groups in different countries of Latin America. he portrait of Leon Trotsky is depicted on a mural at the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico City. Its author was Diego Rivera, famous Mexican muralist, a Communist and a personal friend of the Russian revolutionary. A few meters there is another painting by David Alfaro Siqueiros, also famed muralist, also an active Communist, and organizer of an assassination attempt against Trotsky, who miraculously survived despite the 400 shots fired at home.
