Five burned bodies found in SUV in Arizona, USA; possible link to trafficking route

Arizona police discovered five charred bodies in a white SUV on June 2, 2012. The SUV was found 100 miles from the Mexican border in the Vekol Valley, south of Phoenix. Experts believe this represents an extension of Mexican drug violence into the United States, according to El País. The bodies had been burned so badly it has been impossible to determine race or gender up to this point, or whether the victims had been killed before being burned. The Vekol Valley is known to be part of a drug route from Mexico into the United States. Illegal immigrants also used the route to enter the United States. Officials warn that drug violence may be stretching further into the United States. Read Article
