FARC Operations in Ecuador

•Hoy.com.ec reports that the Ecuadorian police force considers FARC an internal security issue as the Colombian guerrilla group uses Ecuador as a base for planning and carrying out operations.
•Their actions according to the Ecuadorian police force include trafficking of narcotics and arms, assassinations, and smuggling of fuel among other activities.
•Between 2005 and 2008 25 FARC guerrillas were captured in Ecuador and members of the Comité Internacional were also located in Ecuador. Read Article
