Failure in security protocols blamed for FARC ambush and 11 military deaths

This was acknowledged on Sunday President Juan Manuel Santos after assessing the situation in Arauca. This failure in the security protocols of the National Army guerrillas allowed the company ‘Drigelio Almarales’, the tenth head of the FARC ambushed troops Energy and Roadway Battalion No. 16, killing 11 soldiers dead and two wounded. “By not following the rules and discipline that characterizes the entire armed force, such situations come to life, you have to follow exactly the instructions in the war that costs lives,” said Santos after a council security held in the 18th Brigade in Arauca, where they considered a military failure of the military death.
