Explosion in Bogotá, Colombia

The explosion at 11:22 p.m. last night in a small square in northern Bogotá affected 12 houses and as well as a bust of Laureano Gómez, but resulted in no injuries.The report by inernacional.eluniversal.com states that authorities have found several explosives in the past few days which were meant to destroy the bust of the former president who was the father of presidential candidate Álvaro Gómez Hurtado murdered in 1995. This was the same day that representative Miguel Gómez Martínez announced he was to leave the country for his safety, and fears for that of his father, Senator Enrique Gómez Hurtado. Read Article
