El Alto, Bolivia: Second “Human Trafficking and Femicide Prevention Walk” Held

On July 5, 2013 El Diario Nacional Noticias reported that El Alto has held its second “Human Trafficking and Femicide Prevention Walk.” According to event organizers, the purpose of the walk was to reflect and to sensitize families from the area on trafficking. Following the walk, organizers held a dramatization dealing with the issue of human trafficking and femicide. In recent years, El Alto has experienced in increase in murders and kidnapping.
