Ecuador’s President Correa defends trade relations with Iran

Ecuador’s President Rafael Correa on Tuesday defended trade relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran to the opposition criticism that South American country. The Ecuadorian president said that selling bananas should not shock anyone, as this type of trade does not violate the resolutions of the United Nations Organization (UNO). Correa’s remarks to reporters considered a reaction to criticism from the opposition lawmaker Betty Amores and the president of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Blasco Penaherrera, who described the negotiations with Iran as a “danger” that a triangle is formed to launder.
