Ecuador’s government, military victim of cyber espionage campaign

plenglish.com reported Ecuador is one of the victims of a cyber espionage campaign, seeking military, diplomatic and governmental information, which has been in place since 2010.
It has also affected 778 people in Colombia and Venezuela, warned the Russian computer security firm Kaspersky Lab. “We can not speculate on the origins, but we know, that whoever is behind this, speaks Spanish and comes from Latin America. Hundreds of gigabytes of classified information have been stolen,” according to the director of the security team for Latin America at Kaspersky Lab, Dmitry Bestuzhev.
