Ecuador’s fishing fleet to be outfitted with emergency notification devices

theadvocate.com reported Ecuador will outfit 4,000 of the boats in its fishing fleet with Covington-based Globalstar Inc.’s satellite tracking and emergency notification devices. Globalstar’s devices will link to Ecuador’s National Emergency Response System, and be outfitted with a proprietary panic button that sailors can activate discreetly for rescue. Read Article
