Ecuador Travel, Protected Areas Change Entrance Fees

The Ministry of Environment of Ecuador, dated November 25, 2010, set a single rate for entry into the World Heritage Protected Areas of the State (PANE), an amount that will apply to all visitors, whether local or foreign, except for the Galapagos National Park, which is operated under special arrangements.
By resolution number 221 signed by Environment Minister, Marcela Aguiñaga Vallejo, determines a flat rate of USD 2 for nationals and foreigners, while under 16 years of age, those over 65 and people with special needs that arise your license granted by the CONADIS, will pay 0.50 cents admission. The measure is based on a number of laws and the provisions issued by the President of the Republic, Rafael Correa, in defining the criteria for determining the rate of admissions to National Parks and Protected Areas of the country.

The new entry fees apply to:
National Parks Machalilla (Isla de La Plata y área continental); Cayambe Coca; Cotopaxi; Yasuní; Sangay; El Cajas; Llanganates; Podocarpus; Napo Galeras. Machalilla (Isla de La Plata and mainland) Coca Cayambe, Cotopaxi, Yasuni, Sangay, El Cajas; Llanganates, Podocarpus, Napo Galeras.
Reserves, refuges and other:
Reserva Geobotánica Pululahua; Reserva Ecológica Manglares Churute; Lago Cuicocha, en la Reserva Ecológica Cotacachi Cayapas, Reservas Faunísticas Cuyabeno y Chimborazo; Reservas Ecológicas Antisana, El Angel y Mache Chindul; Bosque Protegido Pasochoa; Refugio de Vida silvestre Pacoche y Área de Recreación El Boliche (Cotopaxi). Book Geobotánica Pululahua; Churute Mangrove Ecological Reserve, Lake Cuicocha in Cayapas Cotacachi Ecological Reserve, Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve and Chimborazo Antisana Ecological Reserves, The Angel and Mache Chindul; Pasochoa Protected Forest; Pacoche Wildlife Refuge and Recreation Area Bowling (Cotopaxi).

Galapagos National Park
Foreign tourists not residents of Ecuador over 12 years $ 100.00 and under 12 $ 50.00. Foreign tourists not residents of Ecuador over 12 years, nationals of countries belonging to the Andean Community of Nations or Mercosur USD 50 and under 12, $ 25.
Tourists and foreign nationals residing in Ecuador, over 12 years $ 6 and under 12 $ 3.

Tourists and foreign students living in Ecuador who are enrolled in national educational institutions for 25.

NOTE: The domestic and foreign tourists under 2 years are
exentos del pago de este tributo. exempt from this tax.
