Ecuador: study indicates one in five adolescents report drug use by family members

oday we presented the results of the fourth survey on drug use in students 12 to 17 years. The consultation was conducted by the National Control Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances ( Consep ). The data showed that the average age of onset of drug use rose to 14.3 years compared to previous studies. Other data obtained in the survey carried out to 514,962 students from 23 provinces capitals is that one in five teenagers, says a family uses drugs . This relative could be the father, mother, brother, uncle, or any other. “This would account for the proximity of teens with drugs,” the report said. Read Article
