Ecuador Reveals First Satellite

According to ElComercio.com Ecuador presented its first satellite, NEE-01 Pegaso, on the first day of the Fourth International Congress of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Communications at the hotel Hilton Colon in Quito. The Ecuadorian Civil Space Agency presented the new satellite with the help of astronaut Ronnie Nader. Reportedly the official launch occurred on the 4th of April. The agency says that the satellite will provide real-time images of space via the internet. Furthermore, Rafael Maradiaga, the executive secretary of the Commission of Regional Technology for Central America announced the plan, Puebla Panama, which will connect energy sources from the southern states of Mexico to Panama through a fiber optic cable.Read Article
