Ecuador reports increased investment domestically and from abroad

(Prensa Latina) In the first eight months in 2014, Ecuador reported investments valued at $966 million USD, which represents 151.2 millions more compared to the same period in 2013, according to reports.
According to figures released by the Superintendent of Companies and Securities, out of the total investments, $612.2 million USD were invested by domestic companies while $336.4 million USD were invested by foreign companies. The statistics, published by El Telegrafo newspaper, indicate that more than 5,000 companies made investments from January to August in 2014. Read Article
