Ecuador receives 90 million dollar loan from Brazil to construct hydroelectric plant

Ecuador obtained a loan of 90.2 million from the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) for the construction of a hydroelectric plant in northern Ecuador, reported Thursday the Ecuadorian Ministry of Strategic Resources. The loan was signed on Wednesday in Rio de Janeiro by the head of the ministry, Rafael Poveda, and representatives of the Brazilian entity, according to a statement, which said that the project is executed by Manduriacu Brazilian firm Odebrecht.
