Ecuador ranks second in Latin America for number of traffic accidents

Ecuador, after Paraguay, is the country with more accidents per 100,000 people, said Juan Manuel Leaño, transportation specialist at the IDB (International Development Bank). Read through in 2010, there were 50,000 accidents in Ecuador, which killed 2,500 people and 15,000 were seriously injured, while this year the country and recorded 5160 deaths from this cause.
