The Ministry of Health maintains its secrecy and does not explain the reason for the layoffs of 110 health professionals and 90 nurses. Yesterday, the head of that Ministry, David Chiriboga, in a television interview, said that this was the result of a process of analysis at national level (see note sharing).

The Forum for the Analysis of Public Health in Ecuador, one of the critical voices of health management, has collected testimony and records of the dismissed officials to rebut the Government’s argument that “were lazy and corrupt.”
