Ecuador: Opposition demonstrators enter headquarters of PAIS Alliance party

telesurtv.net reported The PAIS Alliance Party confirmed that a group of opposition demonstrators were able to enter the headquarters of the governing party. Hundreds of opposition and pro-government protesters took once again to the streets of Quito Wednesday evening, staging two high-tension parallel demonstrations in one of the city’s main roads, Shyris Avenue, which began turning violent as night fell. teleSUR staff witnessed bottles being thrown at supporters of the Rafael Correa government. Former Culture Minister Paco Velasco was seen bleeding from the head after being struck. The pro-government demonstrators gathered in front of the headquarters of governing party Alianza Pais around 4 p.m. (local time), blocking the opposition protesters from reaching that point.
