dailyindependentnig.com reported that President of the Republic of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, has been urged by Oilwatch International not to permit the extraction of crude oil from Yasuni-ITT in order to protect the region from environmental damage.

In a recent correspondent to Correa, the environment watchdog group told the president to stand firm and continue to show leadership in the area of sound environmental management.

We hereby declare our support for the original initiative to refrain from exploitation of the heavy crude oil of Yasuni-ITT. Read Article
