Ecuador: New rules regarding accumulation of minutes for cellphones to benefit users

The new rules adopted last week by the National Telecommunications Council (CONATEL) to build mobile recharges for prepaid and postpaid therefore be verified by the Telecommunications Authority (SUPERTEL)
The Superintendent said CONATEL notified that the meeting on February 17 approved the resolution regarding the validity of the charges.
Subject to the provisions of the Concession contracts Field Service Advanced CONECEL (Claro) and OTECEL (Movistar), which set a mandatory accumulation system balance in both the prepaid and post-paid, will be applied while the line is classified as active. The resolution covers all rate plans, business plan or package purchased through reloads, and applies to all services can be provided through the grant of Advanced Mobile Service (AMS), according to its definition.
The advanced mobile operators may not, through the ups, provide rate plans, business plans or packages whose composition has validity and limitation of time. Read Article
