Ecuador: new customs system to begin October 22, 2012

A week for its implementation, the National Customs Service (Senae) decided yesterday to move to Eluniverso.com reported that on October 22 performance of the new phase of Ecuapass computer system, which shall address the procedures of entry and exit of goods electronically.

The process would begin on Monday 15, but the entity decided to postpone for users “continue acquainted” with the new system, the cost of implementation demanded $ 21 million after an agreement with South Korea.

The execution of this phase is the cessation of physical procedures for loading and dispatch. Back in February, Customs implemented a module Ecuapass related to obtaining certificates of origin for exports. Read Article
