Ecuador: Nearly 500 cattle properties at high risk for hoof and mouth disease

At least 479 farms were classified as “high risk” by the Ecuadorian Agency for Quality Assurance Agro (Agrocalidad), responsible for defining and implementing policy and regulation and control of the productive activities of agriculture in Ecuador. Most farms, mainly located on the border with Peru, outbreaks of FMD. The information was used to focus the controls in these areas and prevent the spread of the disease. Read Article
