Ecuador: import restrictions impacting end of year sales

The import restrictions and their effects reduce expectations of four sectors of the country for the last quarter of the year. This is the most important season in terms of sales in the commercial sector. The weekly Leaders presented in today’s edition of a report on the effects these measures will generate official importers and marketers of vehicles, appliances, liquor and clothing. In the car industry, for example, between January and August of this year, sales fell by 9.6% from the same period last year.
