Ecuador hit by outbreak of dengue

From week to week in the country had 467 new cases of dengue. The Ministry of Health reported yesterday the numbers of patients in the country, registered in the first 19 weeks of this year. They reported 7,434 cases, of which 123 are of the hemorrhagic type, called serious by the authorities.

Meanwhile, a week before that, ie the 18th, the Ministry had reported 6,967 dengue patients. By then, this week was the most reported cases so far this year: 797 patients.

The Ministry also reported that there are 13 deaths from this disease: 6 in Manabi, Guayas 5 in, 1 in Santo Domingo and one in St. Helena, but does not report 3 cases in Gauteng and 1 in El Oro, which would give a total of 17 deaths. Read Article
