Ecuador: flu medications, anti-inflammatories and analgesics available only with prescription

elnuevoempresario.com reported the flu, anti-inflammatories and painkillers classified as counter may only be issued with a prescription, a provision that was upheld Wednesday by the Ministry of Health.

The temporary decision and avoid self-medication preventive character and potential clinical complications of influenza A (H1N1), so far leaves three dead and 51 confirmed cases.
