Ecuador finishes April with .30% inflation

Vistazo.com reported the inflation rate ending April 2014 posted a rate of inflation at 0.30 percent. Annual inflation is currently stated at 3.23% reported by the Institute of statistics and census.
The Institute explained that the inflation was primarily due to price increases in food and non-alcoholic beverages followed by education costs. Esmeraldas Province had the highest rate of inflation at 0.76% followed by the Andean region at 0.63%. The cost of a basic family basket for cost of living is currently stated at $633.61 per month.
