Ecuador: Eva Golinger believes threat of soft coup continues “under the surface”

plenenglish.com reported that US writer and researcher Eva Golinger warned today that the attempt of soft coup in Ecuador continues working under the surface, despite of having been under control on September 30, 2010.
I believe that September 30 was the beginning of a soft coup in Ecuador that was controlled at that time, but is still under the surface, said the lawyer of Venezuelan nationality, who added that the pro-coup sectors achieved something very difficult the same day: support from the police, which joined the actions.

In an interview with the newspaper El Telegrafo, Golinger ratified that Washington’s security authorities were behind those actions, as promoters of incidents of that kind in many countries in the world.

She said that day, there was a destabilization process through sectors of the so-called civil society, especially related to US agencies, as the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), which was trying to overthrow President Rafael Correa.
