Ecuador Distributes Electricity to N. Peru Since Friday

According to ElUniverso.com the Minister of Energy and Mines in Peru asked his counterpart in Ecuador for assistance by temporarily distributing part of Ecuador’s electricity to a northern section of Peru. Electricity in the area has been temporarily disrupted due to the maintenance of an electricity plant says Ecuador’s minister. Since this past Friday, June 24th, Ecuador has been supplying 55,000 kW per hour to the provinces of Zorritos, Talara and Piura in Peru. Ecuador’s ministry announces that they anticipate a total of 2,723,000 kW transferred to northern Peru during the total assistance time-period.
